Message	If you are worried you can get new ones for around $55. I couldn't work out how to test the thing once it is out of the car, apparantely it should read around 1Mohm between one of the pins and ground. My multimeter said there was either no resistance or infinite resistance between each of the pins and the metal bit in the middle so I bought a new one and it does exactly the same thing.
